Primary Offer Day: what to do next

Today is “Primary School Offer Day”.  This means families will discover the school place their youngster has been offered for September. 

If your child has been offered a place at any of our primary schools, we can’t wait to welcome you. 

Whether your child is beginning their education journey at a THPT school or any other, here are three important things to do now:

1. Accept your place – you should have received information on how to confirm your place.  Usually, this will come from the local authority.  If anything is not clear, it’s best to contact the school directly
2. Book a tour – perhaps you’ve already had a chance to look around the school.  But if not, it’s best to get in touch directly and book a tour.  Most schools will be only too happy to show you around
3. Join the school’s newsletter and follow their social media accounts – this is a great way of keeping up to date with the school’s news.  It also helps you connect with other parents and carers
